Hello! Welcome to my Wiki page.

I have been a physical therapist for the Capital Area Intermediate Unit for 2 years. I have been working in pediatrics with children 0 to 21 for over 8 years. I have worked inpatient, outpatient, early intervention with birth to three, and with preschool and school age children in their classrooms. I graduated from Duquense University in Pittsburgh, PA in 2008 with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT). I became a American Physical Therapy Association Board Certified Specialist in Pediatrics in 2014. I regularly attend continuing education courses to stay up to date on treatment techniques, assessments and interventions. I enjoy working with all children and using my skills as a physical therapist to help children improve their gross motor skills and physical function in the classroom. Physical therapists use functional activities to improve strength, range of motion, coordination and balance. Functional activities in pediatrics include a lot of play! In addition to working with children directly, I work with families, teachers, classroom staff, occupational therapists, speech therapists and all other members of the educational team to help each student fully access and benefit in their educational environment.

My hobbies include reading, crocheting, running & walking, and yoga. I have 2 daughters (4 months and 3 years) and 2 English bulldogs.

Please come back to this page often, as I will be working throughout the school year to update the information and add important resources for you and your child.
